Brown, Paulick win Grand Island City Council races

GRAND ISLAND – Doug Brown and Mike Paulick won Grand Island City Council races Nov. 5.

Brown defeated incumbent Michelle Fitzke. Brown received 2,128 votes, compared to 1,781 votes for Fitzke. There are 378 outstanding ballots in Hall County that will be counted in the next seven to 10 days.

Brown will represent Ward 1.

“I feel real good about it. I think I have a lot to add to City Council. I’m ready to go to work and help change things for the better,” Brown said.

Paulick, who represents Ward 4, received 812 votes, compared to 687 votes for Jodi Moore.

“I feel like the people feel like I’m doing a good job. I appreciated their votes,” Paulick said.
