GRAND ISLAND — The Grand Island Police Department is investigating a stalking and criminal mischief incident that took place during the evening hours of Tuesday, Nov. 26.
At 9:51 p.m., GIPD officers responded to a call for service regarding criminal mischief.
A 46-year-old woman reported that an adult male who she had previously had an intimate relationship with, smashed the rear window of her vehicle with a piece of concrete.
The male had also been engaged in constant telephone communication with the woman, which violated a harassment protection order.
While reviewing the messages sent to the woman, the suspect communicated information about the vehicles currently in the woman’s driveway.
The case is under investigation and potential charges including criminal mischief – $0-500, protection order violation and stalking.
