LINCOLN — On Dec. 20, 2024, at 8:02 PM, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and Eagle Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the area of N 176th and Adams St on report of a pickup truck that had rolled on to its top.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck was reported as being unresponsive and not breathing. Eagle Fire and Rescue transported the the driver to CHI Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The driver was identified as 29 year-old, July Jindra, of Lincoln.

The preliminary investigation at the scene revealed Jindra was driving a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup westbound on Adams St when the vehicle drove into the north side ditch and traveled a short distance before it reentered the roadway.

The vehicle appears to have lost control and slid to the south side of Adams St where the vehicle rolled at least once into a field. Jindra was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
