These contest rules are specific to the 3 Degree Guarantee Contest (the “Contest”) conducted by NRG Media, LLC d/b/a KGFW (the “Company” or the “Station”). Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this contest. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are available at the Station’s studio at KGFW 2223 Central Avenue, Kearney, NE 68847, during regular business hours and on the contest page on the Station’s website at http://www.kgfw.com/kgfw-local-contest-rules/. These rules are intended to supplement the General Contest rules, however, to the extent that the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest.
Contest period:
Registrations will be taken April 24 – September 10, 2025
Temperature readings will run May 1st – Sept 10, 2025
The contest is open to individuals who are at least 19 years old and who live within 35 miles of Station’s studio in Kearney. Winner must own their own home. One prize per person and one prize per household per calendar year.
Enter online by completing an entry form with your name, address, telephone number, email address and date of birth, then listen to the Breakfast Flakes program on KGFW Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Contest will not be played on Memorial Day, July 4, or Labor Day.
The announcers will give the forecasted high temperature for that day. They will also announce the actual high temperature for the previous day, and if it was more than 3 degrees higher or lower than the previous weekday’s forecasted high (or 4 degrees higher or lower), one winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries to win a residential furnace or AC check from Snell Services.
Value of individual prizes: $150.00
Total value of prizes depends on number of days when the actual high temperature is 3 degrees plus or minus the predicted high temperature. There are approximately 90 days in the contest period when a prize could be awarded. Maximum potential value if prizes awarded each day is approximately $13, 500.
