The rosters for this Saturday’s Red/White Spring Game were announced yesterday. Junior Adrian Martinez and sophomore Matt Masker will quarterback the Red Team. Freshman Logan Smothers and true freshman Heinrich Haarberg will take the snaps for the White squad. The White Team roster also includes redshirt freshman outside linebacker Eli Richter and kicker Gabe Heins.

Red/White Spring Game Format:
– Four 15-Minute Quarters
– Running Clock, Except During Timeouts, Change of Possession, Final 4 Minutes of 1st Half and at Coaches’ Discretion
– No Tackling to the Ground in 1st Half
– Live Tackling in the 2nd Half

– Kickoff will be at 1:00.

Day two of the NFL Draft gets underway tonight in Cleveland, Ohio, with the 2nd and 3rd Rounds. Several formers Huskers are hoping to hear their names called… they include Dicaprio Bootle, Matt Farniok, Jack Stoll, Dedrick Mills and Brenden Jaimes.

The nationally ranked Nebraska baseball team is hosting the Rutgers Scarlet Knights this weekend at Hawks Field. The Huskers enter the weekend at the top of the Big Ten standings, holding a 1.5 game lead over both Indiana and Michigan. Now 20-7 on the season, the Huskers have won seven straight conference series. Rutgers is on the road for a second straight week and will be in search of another series win after taking 2-of-3 from Michigan last weekend. The series opener is scheduled for tonight at 6:30. First pitch Saturday is at 4:00. The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at Noon.

The Nebraska softball team hosts its final home games of the season this weekend when they welcome the Maryland Terrapins to Bowlin Stadium for a four-game series. The two teams will play a doubleheader today at 3:00, followed by a single game at 3:00 Saturday. The series finale is set for Sunday morning at 11:00.

The Tri-City Storm will face the Fargo Force this weekend in the Western Conference Semifinals Round of the Clark Cup Playoffs at the Viaero Center. Game 1 of the best 2-of-3 series begins tonight at 7:05. Game 2 is tomorrow night at 7:05. If necessary, Game 3 would be played Sunday afternoon at 4:05.
