DANNEBROG — The Village of Dannebrog and Dannebrog Fire/Rescue have begun sandbagging operations. Heavy rainfall on the Oak creek, South and Middle Loup river have combined to block/back feed water into an already full Oak Creek.
We need volunteers to help fill and disperse sandbags around residents and businesses.
• Meet at the Dannebrog Cemetery ASAP
• Bring work gloves, shovels, work clothes, drinking water
• Bring Wooden of plastic palettes
• Side by sides and 4 wheelers with trailers are welcome too.
Drive with care and never through water with no visible road surface or on submerged/ soggy ground.
Do not drive trucks, tractors, skid steers, or any heavy equipment on anything other than the road ways. We create more damage to property than we save.
