2024 Buffalo County Fair carnival, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)

KEARNEY — The 2025 Buffalo County Fair is taking place this week at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds. A full schedule of events and 4-H activities are listed below:

Wednesday, July 23

1:30 pm: Open Class Fine Arts & Photography Judging in Exhibit Building

6:00-11:00 pm: Carnival Starts
Wild Rider Wristbands Available: $70 All You Can Ride All Week Long! Limited Number of Passes Available. Passes available at the Fair Office beginning July 7th.

6:00-9:00 pm: Commercial Exhibits open in the Exhibit Building

6:00-9:00 pm: Music Bingo– Exhibit Building
— Must be 21+ in order to play. Bar available. You will receive a bingo card at the entrance.

7:00 pm-Midnight: Kearney Volunteer Fire Department BINGO! Stand Open

Thursday, July 24

9:00 am: Open Class Farm & Garden Crops Judging in Exhibit Building

10:00 am: Open Class Plants & Flowers, Foods including Decorated Cakes & Pies, Textile Judging in Exhibit Building

1:00-9:00 pm: Exhibit Building Open to view Open Class Exhibits

2:00-4:00 pm: Special Needs Day — Sign your special guest here: Special Needs Day

6:00-9:00 pm: Commercial Exhibits open in the Exhibit Building

6:00-11:00 pm: Carnival Open

7:00 pm-Midnight: Kearney Volunteer Fire Department BINGO! Stand Open

7:30 pm: BlackHawk & Sammy Kershaw in the LandMark Implement Arena –Doors open at 6:00 pm.

9:00 am: Draft Horse Competition in the Outdoor Arena

9:00 am-9:00 pm: Open Class, 4-H, FFA Exhibits Open in the Exhibit Building and Extension Building

Noon-9:00 pm: Commercial Exhibits Open in the Exhibit Building

3:00-11:00 pm: Carnival Open

5:00 pm: Beer Garden open

7:30 pm: Ian Munscik with Josh Ross in the LandMark Implement Arena –Doors open at 6:00 pm, Tickets range from $25-$75 plus fees.

10:00 pm: Free Concert in Buffalo Corral – Switchbak

Sunday, July 27

10:00 am: Flower Clubs have display in place in Exhibit Building

Noon-9:00 pm: Commercial, Open Class, 4-H, FFA Exhibits Open in the Exhibit Building and Extension Building

1:00 pm: Pedal Tractor Pull in the Exhibit Building and Ice Cream Social Sponsored by Buffalo County Farm Bureau.

3:00-11:00 pm: Carnival Open

3:00 pm: Gates open for Demolition Derby

5:00 pm: Andersen Wrecking Demolition Derby in the Outdoor Arena – Advance Ticket Prices: Adults $12, Children $7, Day of Show Tickets: Adults: $15, Children: $10. Tickets available in Advance at the Fair Office.

7:00 pm-Midnight: Kearney Volunteer Fire Department BINGO!

2:00 pm: 4-H Dairy Goat Showmanship & Judging followed by Dairy Showmanship & Judging at Ag Pavilion

3:00 pm: 4-H Clover Kid Bucket Calf Show, Bucket Calf Judging, Feeder Calves & Jr Bulls Judging at Ag Pavilion

5:00 pm: 4-H Decorated Cake & Pie Auction at Exhibit Building and Fashion Show will be located in the Exhibit Building.

Friday July 25

8:00 am: 4-H Sheep Showmanship, 4-H Breeding & Market Sheep Judging followed by Clover Kid Sheep Show at Ag Pavilion; following the sheep show: Lottery Goat Showmanship, Goat Showmanship, Breeding Goats & Market Goat Judging followed by Clover Kid Goat Show at Ag Pavilion

Noon: Rabbit/Poultry Judging Static Exhibits in Rabbit/Poultry Barns
