Two Rivers Public Health Department, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY- Two Rivers Public Health Department (TRPHD) is conducting medication takeback events in Holdrege and Minden.
They will take place at the Holdrege City Auditorium at 421 Grant Street, in Holdrege, from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. on Aug. 20, and at the Minden Senior Center located at 403 N. Colorado Ave, in Minden, from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. on Aug. 25.
TRPHD employees will accept unused medications to dispose of them safely. This event will reduce unused medications in homes, preventing accidental poisoning, intentional misuse, and potential diversion for illicit use.
Naloxone and medication lock boxes will be available at this event.
