The 12th Annual Team Jack Radiothon being hosted at The Home Agency location in Elwood, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
ELWOOD — The 13th Annual Team Jack Radiothon, presented by The Home Agency and the Jim & Sharri Baldonado family, will take place on Thursday, Sept. 25 across Nebraska airwaves through the Huskers Radio Network.
Once again, the event will be broadcast live from Elwood, Nebraska on the grounds of The Home Agency.
Throughout the day, listeners will hear inspiring and emotional stories from families impacted by childhood brain cancer, raising both awareness and critical funds for research. Childhood brain cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children and remains a serious issue for families in Nebraska and beyond.
In addition, listeners will hear from several special guests who support the cause, such as Governor Jim Pillen, Rex Burkhead, Dr. Sidharth Mahapatra, Luke Gifford, Sam Hoiberg, Bergen Reilly, Luke Lindenmeyer, Larry the Cable Guy, Kenny Bell, and more!
Since its beginning in 2013, the Radiothon has raised nearly $1.5 million to fight pediatric brain cancer—a true testament to the generosity of Nebraskans. Last year alone, the event brought in $200,000 in just one day.
“Hosting the Radiothon in Elwood is always a special honor,” said Jim Baldonado. “The generosity we see each year, both locally and beyond, is incredible, and we’re hopeful this year will make an even greater impact for kids battling brain cancer.”
Throughout the day, donors will have the chance to win prizes, including the Ultimate Husker Fan Experience, which includes Nebraska Volleyball and Football tickets, hotel, dining, and more! When giving, donors are encouraged to select their station to help them in the radio station fundraising challenge.
