In Husker football news: Wide Receivers Jamie Nance and Demariyon Houston have entered their names into transfer portal. The 6-foot, 180-pound Nance is the fourth and final scholarship member of Nebraska’s 2019 recruiting class to leave the program. A redshirt freshman this coming season because of last year’s free Covid season, Nance appeared in only one game last season. The 6-foot, 185-pound Houston never saw the field in his two years at Nebraska. They are second and third players to enter the transfer portal, joining back-up tight end Kurt Rafdal who left the program at the start of spring practice.
The Creighton Baseball team’s doubleheader at Butler was cancelled yesterday due to heavy rain in Indianapolis. The Bluejays settled for a two-game sweep of the Bulldogs, taking both halves of the Saturday doubleheader. Friday’s series opener was also rained out. The Bluejays continue on the road this weekend with a four game series at St. Johns.
The UNO baseball team went 1-3 against North Dakota State this past weekend in Fargo. The Mavs will host Oral Roberts in a four game series at Tal Anderson Field this weekend.
