LOUP CITY — The Loup County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating allegations of child abuse involving an employee of Loup County Public Schools.
On Sept. 23, 2025, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of the incident and immediately began an investigation.
Following the investigation, the Loup County Sheriff’s Office prepared an arrest warrant and sent it to the Loup County Court to be filed.
Sheriff Dustin Spanel stated, “The safety of our children is of utmost importance. We take every allegation of abuse seriously, and we are committed to thoroughly investigating this matter. We ask the public to avoid speculation as the legal process continues.”
At this time, the identity of the employee is being withheld to protect the integrity of the investigation.
