LINCOLN — On Oct. 17, 2025, families from across the state will gather in Lincoln for the 2nd Annual Nebraska Missing Persons Day — a day created by Nebraska lawmakers to bring visibility to missing persons cases, offer support to families, and to raise awareness about the critical work of law enforcement, advocates, and community members in addressing missing persons cases.

As the second official Nebraska Missing Persons Day approaches on Oct. 17, 2025, we ask you to help raise awareness by sharing information about Nebraska Missing Persons Day with your staff and the communities you serve, and posting links on your websites to state and local missing persons resources.

“It has been a true honor to work with the families of missing loved ones in Nebraska to establish this important day of education and awareness and hope…It is important to continue the work with families, state policymakers, and law enforcement to share resources widely, remember our missing neighbors, and raise awareness that can help solve cold cases and bring justice and closure and even to prompt successful leads to bring the missing home.”– State Senator Danielle Conrad.
