The Overton Eagles defeated the Southwest Roughriders in four sets (27-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-21) in the opening round of the NSAA D1 Volleyball State Championships.
Daisy Ryan led the Eagles with 23 kills and and 20 digs. Gracen Hughes had 13 kills and Braelyn Florell had 12 kills for Overton. Kyla Elfgren had 41 assists and Chloe Svarari had 25 digs.
Overton will play Shelton tomorrow at 11AM. The Bulldogs defeated Central Valley in a five-set thriller.
