KEARNEY — A pickup truck rolled onto its roof as the result of a two-vehicle accident that took place near the Kearney Interstate 80 interchange during the late morning of Thursday, Dec. 4.
Around 11:30 a.m., the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department and Good Samaritan EMS were dispatched to Highway 44 at the Kearney I-80 interchange for the report of a two-vehicle accident, with one vehicle having ended up on its roof.
At the scene, a Ford SUV with front end damage had come to rest off the roadway, near the Kearney interchange entrance to I-80. Right next to it, a GMC Denali pickup had rolled on to its roof, with airbags deployed.
Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene, with at least one person being loaded by first responders and EMS personnel.
Traffic in the area was slowed while the ambulance was loaded and departed the scene.
The Kearney Police Department, Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol assisted at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
