GOTHENBURG — A 28-year-old woman was struck and killed by a semi on Interstate 80 during the evening of Friday, Dec. 19 near Gothenburg.
“At approximately 9:45 p.m. Friday, a person was walking in the center of a lane of traffic on I-80 and was struck by a semi,” according to information from the Nebraska State Patrol, “The person was pronounced deceased on the scene. The deceased was a 28-year-old woman.”
I-80 was closed for approximately three hours as a result of the incident.
