KEARNEY — Citing proven results and a clear path forward, Paul Hazard announced his re-election campaign for the Kearney Public Schools Board of Education.

Hazard pledges to build on a strong record of improving school safety, supporting teachers, and protecting parents’ rights.

“I am running again because the work needs to continue. Our kids deserve leadership that puts education first and keeps common sense at the center of every decision,” Hazard said.

During his first term on the Kearney Public School Board of Education, Hazard delivered results for students, families, and staff:

  • Helped bring in the JROTC
  • Expanded DARE
  • Launched a non-traditional elementary school
  • Added a fourth School Resource Officer
  • Honored teachers for years of service
  • Supported FCA’s Fields of Faith
  • Expanded orchestra and middle school sports
  • Oversaw facility improvements
  • Increase graduation requirements on financial literacy

“Our community asked for safer schools and more opportunities for students – and we delivered,” Hazard said. “I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and with your support, I’ll continue fighting for schools that are safe, accountable, and focused on students – not politics,” said Hazard.
