KEARNEY CO. — The Nebraska State Patrol Investigative Services Division, with assistance from the Kearney County Sheriff Office, is conducting a death investigation in rural Kearney County.
The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene early this afternoon. Preliminary investigation revealed four victims with apparent gunshot wounds, three of which are juvenile age and one adult female.
The adult female was found deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The three juveniles were transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney and treated for their injuries. Two of the juveniles have been transported to Children’s Hospital in Omaha. All three children are expected to survive.
The investigation is continuing and law enforcement is confident there is no ongoing threat to the public.
