KEARNEY CO. — The Nebraska State Patrol identified a woman who died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Kearney County, three children were also shot in the incident.
The Nebraska State Patrol Investigative Services Division, with assistance from the Kearney County Sheriff Office, were conducting a death investigation in rural Kearney County on Sunday, Feb. 28.
Preliminary investigation revealed four victims with apparent gunshot wounds, three of which are juvenile age and one adult female.
Jamie Kruger, 40, the mother of the children, was found deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The three juveniles were transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney and treated for their injuries. Two of the juveniles have been transported to Children’s Hospital in Omaha.
All three children are expected to survive.
