HUSKER BASKETBALL SET OPENING NIGHT FOR OCTOBER
Fans will get their first opportunity to see the 2021-22 Nebraska men’s and women’s basketball team on Friday, Oct. 1, with the return of Opening Night with Husker Hoops at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The event, which is free to the public, will feature introductions of both teams, remarks from Head Coaches Fred Hoiberg and Amy Williams, a scrimmage by the Husker men and more. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. with PBA doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
LUBICK – FORDHAM DEFENSE NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY
The Nebraska offense is looking to generate more points and big plays in the upcoming home opener against Fordham.
Offensive Coordinator Matt Lubick told the media Tuesday that Fordham’s defense is not to be overlooked however….

Nebraska’s defense allowed 23 points including a second half opening scoring drive that chewed up nearly eight minutes of game time to Illinois. The Huskers will face Fordham on Saturday at 11 AM to open up Memorial Stadium.
LUBICK – HUSKER OFFENSE WAS PREPARED, COULD NOT GET RESULTS
A recurring theme from the opening season loss at Illinois was the struggles of Nebraska’s offense in the first half. Comments made post game by players and coaches suggested the Husker offense was ill-prepared for a different defensive look than what Illinois brought out.

HUSKERS GOLFERS NAMED TO BIG TEN WATCH LIST
Nebraska’s Caleb Badura, Mark Foelbaek and Tom Westenberger were mentioned among the Big Ten’s top golfers when the conference announced its annual list of preseason honorees on Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Badura, a senior from Aurora, Nebraska, joined Foelbaek as Nebraska’s top individual finishers at the 2021 Big Ten Championship. Badura produced his best performance of the season at the Git-R-Done Husker Invitational at Firethorn Golf Club in Lincoln when he fired a career-best three-round score including a career-best 68 in the second round.
