HUSKER FOOTBALL POSTGAME STORIES:

FROST – HUSKERS CLOSE TO DOWNING MICHIGAN

Head Coach of the Huskers Scott Frost praised his team in postgame after another heart-breaking loss in the final moments, this time at the hands of the Michigan Wolverines…

The Huskers last three losses are by teams at a combined 18-0 record and all three in the Top Ten ratings.

FROST – COULD HAVE BEEN TIE GAME

The Huskers battled a Top Ten rated Michigan team to the final moments in Memorial Stadium on Saturday, ultimately falling 32-29.

In the opening quarter, the Huskers had a chance for three points but instead elected to go for a touchdown but was shut out by the Michigan defense.

Head Coach Scott Frost adds that may have been too aggressive…

The Huskers do open as favorites over Minnesota for this Saturday’s kickoff.

FROST – NOT TALKING ABOUT OFFICIATING

During his postgame press conference, Head Coach of the Huskers Scott Frost stated he did not want to talk about any officiating from Saturday’s contest against Michigan.

The Huskers were given a warning for “disconcerted delay of game” as the Huskers defense was credited with imitating the Michigan snap count. Additionally, illegal formation penalties were both called and missed for both offenses according to the Big Ten’s officials office on Sunday.

FROST – DEFENSE WORN DOWN BY OFFENSE’S BIG PLAYS

The Blackshirts had another solid performance against the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, but Head Coach Scott Frost feels the defense may have run out of gas due to the Husker’s offensive big plays…

The Huskers will prepare for the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday.

MARTINEZ – THOUGHT PROGRESS HAD BEEN STOPPED

Quarterback Adrian Martinez was stripped of the football in the final moments of the contest against Michigan to give the Wolverines the go-ahead field goal inside of Huskers territory.

Martinez unapologetically walks through the play…

Martinez ended with over 300 yards of total offense including four scores.

MARTINEZ – FOCUS BACK ON MINNESOTA

The Huskers suffered another tough loss, this time at the hands of the Michigan Wolverines. Quarterback Adrian Martinez says the team is remaining upbeat, however, and is ready for the next challenge…

The Huskers opened as 2.5 point favorites over the Golden Gophers.

JOHNSON – FIND A WAY TO WIN

Rahmir Johnson was a bright spot at running back in the loss to Michigan. With 67 yards rushing and over 100 yards receiving, Johnson aided the Husker offense with numerous big plays.

The back added in post game he’s ready to see the Huskers break through…

The Huskers will have another chance to get back on track against Minnesota on Saturday.
