GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KGFW) – An accused peeping tom has been found guilty of felony first degree sexual assault, felony recording a person in a state of undress, and misdemeanor third degree sexual assault.

Hall County District Court records show Jake McGovern was found guilty Monday following a bench trial.

Police earlier said McGovern dropped a cell phone while a resident chased him from a Kearney apartment window in September 2018.

The contents led police to two women who had previously been in relationships with McGovern, but said they were unaware that they had been sexually assaulted and recorded.

McGovern was charged in Hall County, Nebraska and Yellowstone County, Montana.

Sentencing in the Hall County case has been set for February 17.
