Special Olympics World’s Largest Truck Convoy to stop at Adams Co. Fairgrounds

HASTINGS — The Special Olympics World’s Largest Truck Convoy is being held Saturday, Sept. 16. Trucks will start arriving the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 15 at the Adams County Fairgrounds.

There will be food and various events for the participants and their families Friday afternoon.

On Saturday morning, beginning at 8 a.m., trucks and the participants will begin to line up and get ready for the convoy.

Promptly at 10 a.m., the first semi will roll out and others will follow. The Convoy will take U.S. Highway 6 east to Showboat Boulevard then north to 42nd Street where participating vehicles will get onto U.S. Highway 281 going north.

The convoy will travel north to Bossleman Travel Center where there will be a ceremony for the participants.
