LINCOLN — Acting United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced the federal Grand Jury for the District of Nebraska has returned several unsealed indictments charging defendants.
Daniel Butt, age 38, of St. Paul, is charged in a four-count Indictment.
Count I charges Butt with false statement on loan and credit application on or about Dec. 28, 2015, and continuing to on or about Feb. 16, 2016.
The maximum possible penalty if convicted is 30 years’ imprisonment, a $1,000,000 fine, a five-year term of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
Count II charges Butt with false statement on loan and credit application on or about Nov. 27, 2017, and continuing to on or about Jan. 3, 2018. The maximum possible penalty if convicted is 30 years’ imprisonment, a $1,000,000 fine, a five-year term of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
Count III charges Butt with larceny-conversion of property on or about Oct. 1, 2018, and continuing to on or about Oct. 25, 2018.
The maximum possible penalty if convicted is 5 years’ imprisonment, a $10,000 fine, a three-year term of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
Count IV charges Butt with bankruptcy fraud on or about Aug. 9, 2021. The maximum possible penalty if convicted is five years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, a three-year term of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
