MERRICK COUNTY – The Merrick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a septic truck accident Monday.
According to the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an accident involving a loaded septic truck at 2nd Road and I Road.
It was found the truck was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line into the oncoming lane. The truck avoided a collision with an oncoming vehicle by going into a south ditch and partially rolled before coming to rest on its side.
The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was not transported to a medical facility. Alcohol or drugs were not suspected.
Surrounding agencies that assisted were the Chapman Fire Department, St. Libory Fire Department, Grand Island Rural Fire Department and Lone Tree Towing.
