KEARNEY — The Kearney Area Community Foundation’s 2023 Give Where You Live campaign raised a new record, $1,931,598 for 188 different organizations.
The total nearly hit the $2 million mark. For reference, the 2022 campaign raised $1.6 million.
“Thanks to your support, we raised a record breaking $1,931,598 for local nonprofits during this year’s Give Where You Live! Thank you so much for Reaching New Heights with us,” the KACF stated.
The top ten causes donated to were:
- 1: Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Department, $157,100, 37 donors
- 2: Faith Christian School Foundation, $82,562, 39 donors
- 4: Buffalo County Community Partners, $59,674, 134 donors
- 5: FreeThinking Ministries, $54,568, 53 donors
- 6: Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA), $52,850, 55 donors
- 7: Buffalo County Historical Society/Trails & Rails Museum, $43,325, 72 donors
- 8: Kearney Rescue Cats, $42,766, 119 donors
- 9: Kearney Area Habitat for Humanity, $39,157, 99 donors
- 10: Yanney Heritage Park Foundation, $38,025, 71 donors
