KEARNEY – The Fort Kearny Championship games are now set, with action beginning for third place games at Kearney High School later this afternoon with the title matchups to follow.
For the girls contest, No. 1 Overton will matchup against No. 2 SEM. Wilcox-Hildreth and Elm Creek will play in the third place game later this afternoon. The girls championship contest is set for a 6 PM start.
Last night, the boys wrapped their semifinals at Kearney Catholic High School. No. 5 SEM upset top-seeded Amherst 44-39 to advance to the championship, while No. 3 Ansley-Litchfield took down No. 2 Elm Creek 52-35. The Mustangs and Spartans will have their tip-off around 8 PM tonight.
