KEARNEY – The Kearney Catholic Stars’ volleyball program will be seeking their next leader, as veteran and legendary head coach Kris Conner has announced she is stepping down.
Conner took over the program in 1991, leading the Stars to four state titles leading up to their Class C1 runner-up finish this past season in 2023. Kearney Catholic has been runner-up three times under Conner’s tenure.
The head coach led the Stars to 19 state tournament appearances, spending 35 years coaching volleyball with 753 career victories.
