GRAND ISLAND — In two separate incidents, around $9,000 was stolen from the Grand Island Walmart when individuals distracted the cashiers.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, on Feb. 29 at 6:40 p.m., the Walmart located at 3501 S. Locust reported that two unknown females distracted a register employee and stole $6,000 from an open register.
Later, on Thursday, March 7, the same Walmart reported that an unknown male took $3,000 from a register while distracting the employee.
Both cases remain under investigation.
