GRAND ISLAND — A shirtless man who was knocking on doors in Grand Island was arrested for having an active Hall County warrant and methamphetamine was found when he was booked into the jail.

On Tuesday, April 23, at 9:37 p.m., officers with the Grand Island Police Department responded to the call of a suspicious male with no shirt knocking on doors in the area of 15th and Cedar St.

The male, identified as Shane Maulbach was contacted and a records check indicated he had an active Hall County warrant.

Maulbach would be booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.

At the jail, Maulbach would take off his shoe and part of his stock to have it thrown away. Officers would see a plastic bag sticking out with a white crystal-like substance.

The substance would test positive for one gram of methamphetamine.
