GRAND ISLAND — The classic rock band, Quiet Riot, is set to electrify Grand Island, Nebraska, with a live performance at the Platt Duetsche on October 19th, 2024. Doors will open at 6:00 PM for a big evening of live music, with opening supporting acts Exit 312 and Whiskey Bent.
This highly anticipated concert is brought to you by the dedicated efforts of Ruben Perez Jr. and his wife Stephanie, who are the talent behind Them 2 Guys Promotions. Perez Jr. plays a pivotal role in bringing these classic rock concerts to Grand Island and is the organizer who brough Jackyl to the same venue in March 2024. Ruben’s passion and commitment to the local music scene have been instrumental in organizing events that resonate with the community.

Quiet Riot is an American rock band, widely recognized for its significant contributions to the rock music scene, particularly in the 1980s. Formed in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni, the band has undergone numerous lineup changes over the years. Despite these changes, Quiet Riot has maintained its reputation as one of the pioneers of heavy metal music. The band’s breakthrough came with the release of their 1983 album, Metal Health. This album was a massive commercial success, becoming the first heavy metal album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It featured hit singles such as “Cum On Feel the Noize” and “Metal Health (Bang Your Head),” both of which became anthems of the era.
As of 2024, the current lineup of Quiet Riot includes: Jizzy Pearl on lead vocals, Alex Grossi on guitar, Chuck Wright on bass, and Johnny Kelly on the drums. This lineup continues to honor the legacy of Quiet Riot, performing their classic hits and bringing the band’s music to new audiences. The band’s current members are dedicated to maintaining the energy and spirit that Quiet Riot is known for, despite the passing of key original members such as Kevin DuBrow and Frankie Banali.
