ALLIANCE — At approximately 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, Alliance Public Safety Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a female had been shot at 708 Big Horn.
Officers with the Alliance Police Department and Box Butte Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene within three minutes. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim, deceased outside the residence, and a male nearby suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The male was transported to Box Butte General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The initial investigation indicates that the female was shot by the male, who then shot himself.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further details are being released at this time.
