GRAND ISLAND — A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving guests in Grand Island at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.

Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Carl Dann Jr. to serve as the local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Conestoga Marketplace.

Located at 1390 Conestoga Dr., Chick-fil-A Conestoga Marketplace will serve guests from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and third-party delivery.

The Conestoga Marketplace restaurant brings approximately 125 jobs to the community and joins four other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the Lincoln and Hastings–Kearney market.

“Chick-fil-A has always held a special place in my heart, with some of my fondest memories being my wife and I taking our four children to eat and play there,” said Dann. “As I step into the role of local owner-operator, it’s a true honor to open the doors of the first Chick-fil-A in Grand Island. At Chick-fil-A Conestoga Marketplace, I look forward to building meaningful connections and creating a welcoming place for the Central Nebraska community to gather together.”

Following a career in business ownership and financial services, Dann began his journey with Chick-fil-A in Cleveland, Georgia, in 2020 and has since held multiple director-level roles.

Dann has always made community involvement a top priority, serving in leadership roles with a variety of Cleveland, Georgia, organizations, such as the Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Merchants Alliance and Better Hometown Committee.

Dann is committed to giving back to the Grand Island community by:

• Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.

• Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in central Nebraska to aid in the fight against hunger.

Chick-fil-A local owner-operators live and work in the communities their restaurants serve, each supporting local efforts to address hunger, education, and making a positive impact.

The family-owned and privately held company was founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy. More information on Chick-fil-A is available at www.chick-fil-a.com and @ChickfilANews.
