GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island woman is facing a felony charge after multiple gunshots were fired at a vehicle in the community during the evening of Sunday, Sept. 28.

Aubriyana Pecor, 18, is charged with aiding and abetting a Class 1C felony, a Class 1C felony charge itself.

Pecor was set to be arraigned in Hall County Court on Sept. 29.

According to an affidavit submitted into the court documents, officers with the Grand Island Police Department responded at 8:51 p.m. to north Broadwell Ave.

A driver in a Chrysler 300 reported that a blue sedan with 17 county plates followed their vehicle for multiple blocks and that multiple gunshots had been fired from the sedan at the driver’s vehicle.

The driver reported that the blue sedan followed them through multiple turns through a residential neighborhood and at times had attempted to drive along side while the suspected shooter was hanging out of the front passenger window, yelling at driver of the Chrysler.

On 3rd St. between Elm and Eddy St., two gunshots were fired at the Chrysler from the blue sedan. During the investigation, a bullet fragment and one bullet were recovered from the Chrysler.

The Chrysler driver was able to recognize and identify the suspect vehicle and driver from a prior interaction between the two.

The driver was identified as Pecor, who was driving the blue Chevrolet Cruz.

The Cruz was later identified on a Flock license plate reader, traveling west from Grand Island on Highway 30 toward Alda. A deputy with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle in Alda parked near Venus St.

While investigating the area where the vehicle had been located, deputies found Pecor hiding in an area of trees and dense vegetation.

Pecor was arrested and booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections early on Monday, Sept. 29.
