ANN ARBOR – After the NCAA reportedly was set to suspend Michigan Football Head Coach Jim Harbaugh for recruitment violations, the Wolverine football program assessed a self-imposed ban on their head coach.

Harbaugh will not be on the sidelines for Michigan’s first three matchups of the season – all home games against East Carolina on Sept. 2, UNLV on Sept. 9, and Bowling Green on Sept. 16. The Michigan alum will return to the sidelines for the start of the Big Ten schedule as the Wolverines host Rutgers on Sept. 23.

Harbaugh reportedly informed the team of the decision before practice Monday morning.

Nebraska will host Michigan on Sept. 30 at Memorial Stadium.
