CHAPMAN — Deputies with the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Highway 30 near 6th Road on Tuesday, April 16.
Investigation concluded that a black GMC SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 30 approaching 6th Road when the vehicle crossed the center line, overcorrected causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and enter the north ditch causing the vehicle to rollover.
Four occupants were in the vehicle and received minor non-threatening injuries.
Seatbelts were in use by all occupants. Alcohol is not a contributing factor.
The driver was issued citation for No Operator’s License and Driving Left of Center and released from the scene.
Chapman Fire Department and the Nebraska State Patrol assisted with this incident.
