Grand Island’s Stolley Park Train opens March 30

GRAND ISLAND — All aboard!

The Stolley Park Railroad is the perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening this spring and summer. Riders will enjoy two trips around Stolley Park on Central Nebraska’s only life size garden-scale railroad. The Sweet Tooth Shop will also be available to parkgoers, offering a wide range of concession items and train souvenirs.

A visit to the Stolley Railroad is a great way to celebrate your child’s birthday, company picnic or group outings. The train hits the track for the 2024 season starting on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. From March 30 through May 19, the train will operate on its spring hours of 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sunday only.

Starting Friday, May 24, summer hours and availability takes over, with the train running Fridays through Sundays while maintaining the same hours of 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. End of summer hours then start on August 10, reverting back to Saturdays and Sundays only. All dates are weather permitting.

  • $3.50 per single rider
  • (2 and under free with paying adult)
  • 10 ride punch card $23.50
  • 25 ride punch card $58.50
  • 50 ride punch card $87.75
